Kurt Angle recently did an interview with Mike McMahon. Kurt commented on this, read on to see what he said.
Kurt spoke about how to to really get over his continuous neck injuries. Kurt says - “I went to Vince McMahon and asked for some time off, he basically said no right out to me. That year I had been travelling for at least 308 days, my marriage was falling apart and I just couldn’t go on anymore. I then went back to Vince, I asked him if I could go part-time, once again Vince replied with a NO!
I decided it was time to leave, I was fed-up, I competed almost every night and my next injury was really tough. So I went up to Vince and told him I wanted to quit, Vince reacted in a bad way, it seemed as if he actually wanted to fight me! In the end, I was finally released from WWE and while healing at home I noticed a new wrestling business that was trying to compete with WWE, TNA.”
In late 2006 Kurt joined them and is now the current TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Kurt will battle Samoa Joe in the main event of Lockdown’s pay-per-view.
Below is an actual video of Kurt speaking about why he left WWE, enjoy!
