A few days late, but here are some quick thoughts on the 05/01/08 TNA iMPACT show.
Shark Boy and Curry Man vs. the Motor City Machine Guns was a good way to open the show. Plenty of ring action to get things started.
Steiner, Angle and Joe brawling in the ring was a quick and effective segment to put a bit of heat into the PPV match.
They’re really pushing the Knockouts match. I hope they go through with it and actually shave one of the Knockout’s heads.

I don’t understand why they don’t make more use of LAX. They’re a great tag team, they have a smoking valet and they have fans. Hopefully their win against Eric Young and Kaz is the start of a major push. Linking Hector Guerrero to the group might just be the final element.
It’s not that I’m looking forward to a match between Samoa Joe and Kevin Nash, but I love the little teases they’ve been doing ever since Joe won the title.
Somebody please tell me, what is the appeal of the ODB character? I just don’t get it.
There wasn’t really any doubt that AJ Styles was going through against the Rock n Rave Infection, but teaming him up with Super Eric was funny and played off recent events well.
Interesting to see Cheerleader Melissa wrestling Daisy Haze. Most reports have indicated that Melissa is behind the robes as Awesome Kong’s spokeswoman.
Scott Steiner has 131 and 2/3 chance of winning? The math is inescapable… maybe.
Steiner and Petey Williams vs. Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe was a surprisingly good match considering three of these people are scheduled for the next PPV and I was expecting all sorts of nonsense.
I was wondering how long it would be before they put Awesome Kong up against some of the male wrestlers. Looks like TNA’s pulled the trigger.
