Torrie Wilson Hurt By WWE – Done With Wrestling

Former WWE Diva Torrie Wilson was interviewed by Kevin Eck of The Baltimore Sun to discuss her second place finish in NBC’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here and she had some interesting things to say regarding World Wrestling Entertainment. Highlights from the interview are as follows:

Whether having a snake on her face was worse than kissing Vince McMahon: “Oh, making out with Vince, for sure [laughs]. I’ll take the snake any day.”

Embarrassed over taking part in the Miss WrestleMania Battle Royal: “I’m very mad at myself and embarrassed that I agreed to be a part of something like that. A lot of people in the audience didn’t even know that I was in that match because they didn’t even announce it. For me, that whole experience at WrestleMania was kind of like closure. I feel like maybe I’m not appreciated like I would have hoped. They just wanted all these girls there. Now I can understand why Trish [Stratus] decided not to do it; she was smart. Going into it I trusted them that they would use me in the right way and I should have known better. All in all, I learned a valuable lesson.”

Whether she thinks she’s done with professional wrestling: “I do. I just didn’t appreciate that experience and I felt very unappreciated after all of the years that I put in for them. You combine that with the fact that I asked them to do a little thing on wwe.com to “vote for Torrie” and they just ignored me. So, my feelings are hurt.”

Francine sent out the following announcement today, stating that the Legends of the arena event was such a success that they will be to donate $6400 to cancer research: First of all, I want to thank all of the fans who showed up this past Saturday night for The Legends of the Arena show. I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to meet all of you and to once again appear in front of the crowd who in my opinion, was always the greatest to work in front of. You guys and girls were hot from start to finish and the feedback has been awesome! I am so glad you all enjoyed yourselves! I really enjoyed meeting all of you. God Bless those who shared their cancer stories with me. It is a horrible disease and I pray every day that they find some kind of a cure. You are all in my prayers. I have to thank all the boys for participating. You were all amazing and without your help, there wouldn’t of been a show. I love you guys! Thanks for making this a success! Now, for those who are curious, this show cost way more then I ever expected. This was the first time I have ever done something like this, so I had no idea just how much things were going to cost. The main reason was to raise money for cancer research. Some of the boys did come in for free, but asked for trans. A lot of them either wanted their full pay or came in for a bit less. Some did it for half their price. I tried to give everyone something at the end of the night because I felt it was the right thing to do. I bought 14 plane tickets and paid for 13 hotel rooms for Friday and Saturday night. I had to pay for the building, catering, production, photos, security and hired help. We had 40 wrestlers there and the boys were allowed to bring their families and friends. That total came to 250 comps, which was no problem. I just wanted to have a great show and I wanted everyone to be happy. After all of the expenses, I am able to donate $6400 to cancer research. As I said in the ring the night of the show “If this money helps one person, then everything I’ve done for the last 5 months will be worth it”. So once again, thank you all for being a part of it and making it a success. Much love always. – Francine

Torrie Wilson Update

Torrie Wilson posted the following blog on her MySpace page on Wednesday, July 1, 2009:

“Hey guy’s!

Well I am finally back home from the Costa Rican jungle where I was filming the show “I’m a celebrity, get me outta here!” 30 days of living in the jungle and eating mostly rice and beans sure made me appreciate my home sweet home! I had a great time and made tons of good friends..and was really happy that I got to show people who I really am! I definitely underestimated how hard it was really going to be, by day 3 I found myself looking around camp going “wow, this is gonna be much harder than I thought!” I used my inner strength to get me through and realized I am much more fierce than I ever thought. Quitting was NEVER an option. I want to live by the 2 little words “NO REGRETS” everyday of my life. I hope that I can be a positive influence in many people’s lives by demonstrating that you can do anything if you put your heart and soul into it and don’t give up! I had a few day’s when I was miserable and homesick but without those bad days I would not have walked away from this experience a changed person and appreciated it so much. Nothing is ever easy in life and how boring would it be if it always was?

I came in 2nd place behind Lou Diamond Philips and it was ridiculously close. Only less than 1/10th of 1% of the votes separated us and I later heard they had to do a recount because I was in the lead the previous day. Lou definitely deserves the crown, he’s a great guy and a hard worker…I am elated to have made it to the very last day and owe all of you that voted a big huge THANKYOU!!!! I have the best fans and friends in the world!!

I am very excited about the opportunites coming my way and will of course keep you all posted……working on the first in a series of workout videos already and am so excited because this is something I have ALWAYS wanted to do! I love working out and have so many great tips and tricks to share!

Thankyou God for my friends new and old..and for giving me such a beautiful life changing experience.

mucho kisses!

He’ll see me after I knock him out and he’s laying there looking up at me. Everybody’s going to see what ‘Ultimate Chaos’ means … me and Bobby Lashley.”
