Update On Roxxi & Rhaka Khan Backstage!

Roxxi was recently released from TNA, and there is a lot of heat on Rhaka Khan over the firing as well as for her behavior. ProWrestling.net reports that Roxxi’s termination can be traced back to a backstage incident that took place between the two. Khan was upset that she wasn’t given enough to do in a battle royal match. When Savio Vega was going over the match with the Knockouts, he asked her repeatedly to turn down the music she was playing. She eventually complied, but when asked to join the rest of the group, she snapped at him and said she is tall enough to see him over everyone.

During the actual battle royal match, Rhaka apparently caught Roxxi with a flurry of stiff shots, and Roxxi returned them and Rhaka dropped to her knees and screamed, which was edited off TV. Khan headed backstage and complained loudly about the stiff shots, and said that the other Knockouts don’t like her but she could “get real” with them.

Roxxi approached Khan to smooth things over, but Khan wasn’t interested. Khan was then overheard complaining to ex-boyfriend Kurt Angle that other knockouts were stealing her clothes and either destroyed or stole her laptop computer. Regarding the allegations of stolen clothes, one source cracked, “None of this has ever happened because who in the f— would want them?” Angle has been seen blowing off her rants, but management still feels they are tight.

Khan and Roxxi eventually made peace, but neither were brought back to television. Khan hasn’t appeared on TV since the incidents, but remains on the TNA website and has been flying herself to some television tapings in recent weeks.

The general feeling from sources who have spoken up is that Roxxi got a raw deal and Khan is getting away with her behavior due to her ties with Kurt Angle, although the two are no longer dating. Another incident was during a recent gauntlet match, where Khan was so upset about newcomer Madison Rayne being late for a spot that she kicked her in the head hard enough to cause temporary hearing loss.

Candice Michelle Update | Another 2 UFC Stars Fired!

Don’t expect Candice Michelle to make her return to the ring on this week’s episode of SmackDown. She noted on her Twitter page today (twitter.com/DivaCandiceM) that she is currently spending time with family in Hawaii. She also noted she’s undergoing therapy (for her injured ankle).

WWE.com has posted video of Sherri Shepherd behind the scenes at SmackDown last week. Shepherd expresses her love for WWE and says if she ever loses her job with The View, she would apply to be a WWE Diva.

In addition to the UFC cutting David “The Crow” Loiseau and Jason MacDonald as reported earlier today, MMAScoops.com is reporting that Ryo Chonan and David Bielkheden have been cut as well. Chonan, who once submitted UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, lost three of his four fights in the UFC, last losing to T.J. Grant at UFC 97: Redemption via split decision. Meanwhile Bielkheden had lost two of his three UFC bouts, most recently to Mark Bocek at UFC 97: Redemption via submission at 4:57 of round 1.

Bob ‘Hardcore’ Holly Backstage News!

RF Video recently conducted a shoot interview with former WWE wrestler Hardcore Holly and he holds nothing back while discussing his 15-year tenure in the company.

Perhaps the most notable portion of the interview concerns Holly’s explanation for being let from World Wrestling Entertainment back in January. He has some choice words for a certain wrestler in the company to say the least — that person being Raw Superstar Mr. Kennedy. Holly believes Kennedy is responsible for his ultimate release from the company and is angry with him to this day, so much so that he issues a personal threat to him during the interview.

Courtesy of RFVideo.com, here is a synopsis of what you can expect to hear from Holly concerning his issue with Kennedy in the shoot interview:

“I got a call from Bob today when he was boarding his plane and he told me what he wanted to talk about on the shoot. He asked me point blank can he say what ever he wants and I told him that this is his day. This would be his platform to do what ever he wanted. He went off on a 5 minute promo on how he wants to beat the hell out of Ken Kennedy on the phone and told me about his major heat with him. This is not a work at all and on the interview, Bob goes into what happened to get these two once best friends into a bitter battle. You will hear right from the mouth of Bob, how Kennedy told Bob to go into his bag and get something out of it for himself. I do not want to get to graphic here because it makes the shoot. You have to watch this as soon as you can, as Bob sends a private message to Ken on this tape. I would not want to be in the shoes of Mr. Kennedy!!!”

Here is another synopsis on the subject, noting Holly making a threat “that is sure to get the WWE’s attention”:

“The highlight of this interview is Bob talking about his WWE release. How did someone once so close to the boss get released? Bob sends a clear message to a current WWE superstar and calls him out by name. What is this wrestler’s culpability in Bob’s firing? Bob will tell you a story that will shock even his biggest detractors. No names are protected and nobody is innocent as Bob makes a threat that is sure to get the WWE’s attention. What happened between Bob and his former friend? You will hear about it all from the horse’s mouth in this classic RF Video Shoot Interview.”

Reportedly, Holly was caught stealing pain pills from another wrestler’s bag this past summer, hence his sudden disappearance from television. He was immediately taken off the road, sent to a rehabilitation facility, and ultimately released.

New WWE Superstar | Batista Thinking About Retirement | More!

Yesterday it was reported that Sheamus O’Shaunessy will be joining the WWE crew on the road to get a look. There is also talk that Eric Escobar will join the crew on the road shortly for a look as well.

Following the success of WWE’s house show in Nice, France in 2008, WWE has decided to add an other house show in Nice, France on Friday September 25th 2009, as part of Smackdown/ECW Live Tour which will be at Paris, France on September 26th and 27th. In 2009, 7 WWE’s houses shows will be presented in France, a record for this country, which has hosted 3 houses shows last year. Tickets will go on sale May 13th at 10 AM.

The UK Sun interviewed Batista, which you can check out here. He once again discusses retirement, stating the following…”I realize that I am closer to the end of my career than I am to the beginning. It’s something I’m really going to have to take a look at. I don’t want to hang around past my welcome. I also don’t want to hang around to the point where I’m so beat up that it’s hard for me to get out of bed. I don’t want to be that guy.”

2 UFC Fighters FIRED!

Since signing a four-fight contract extension with the UFC back in September, Jason MacDonald has dropped his last two scraps, and three of his last four overall. Today, the UFC sent him packing according to MMAScoops.com. “I’m obviously very disappointed,” MacDonald stated. “But I’m not at all angry with the UFC. I’m well aware of the fact that I’m paid to perform. And the reality is three of the past four fights, I’ve lost.” Following his TKO loss to Nate Quarry at UFC 97, MacDonald received the dreaded show of support from UFC president Dana White at the post-fight presser. “Here’s the thing that we love,” White stated. “Anybody who goes out there and tries to fight – MacDonald is always awesome, man. He’s always in an exciting fight.” Apparently the organization cooled on the him since then, as they continue to trim the fat from their exclusive roster. “The UFC has been great to me, and they’ve been great to deal with, so there are no hard feelings at all,” MacDonald said. “I understand it’s just the nature of the sport. Especially nowadays, with so many fighters, it’s more important than ever to win fights.” UFC match-matcher Joe Silva stated that with a couple solid W’s the Canadian could find him back inside the Octagon sooner rather than later.

It seems that Jason McDonald was not the only Canadian sent packing from the UFC this past week. Georges St. Pierre training partner David “The Crow” Loiseau was also cut after one bout in his third stint with the organization. Loiseau had previously worked his way back from being cut after a loss to Jason Day with three wins outside the organization. His comeback fight with a slumping Ed Herman was meant to rejuvenate his career. Instead, it’s the former TUF Finalist in “Short Fuse” Herman that got a stay of execution with a win over the Canadian fighter in his hometown of Montreal, Quebec. Time will tell what’s next for the 18-9 David Loiseau. With three chances at the UFC middleweight division in the books already, it looks to be a long road back to the spotlight for “The Crow”.

John Cena Fans | Slammiversary | Raw!

The presale for the TNA Slammiversary show, which takes place on June 21st is currently ongoing, with the presale code being “SEVEN”. The show takes place at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit.

Raw is going to be in Green Bay on June 22nd, with tickets going on sale May 9th at 10AM CST. A special pre-sale is available May 6th at 10AM CST to May 8th midnight CST. The pre-sale promo code is “GBRTV”.

James sent this in: I just wanted to add one thing to the Raw off air report, and it is why I am now a HUGE John Cena fan. Sitting near us was a group of three guys that like to show how “smart” they are, and then especially in the dark match were giving it to Cena, being loud and vulgar, constantly standing and flipping him off. There were a lot of kids around and some parents in front of me even said they kind of hoped Cena would come over and punch them out. After the match, Cena did come over (they were second row) so they started yelling and flipping him off more. So, Cena got a cameraman to come over and take his picture smiling and posing with them in the background. Everyone was laughing (except those guys, who were even more pissed off, which was great). Cena sure is a class act all the way.

They are DH Smith, Eric Escobar (a.k.a. Eric Perez), Sheamus O’Shaunessy, and Drew McIntyre. In an update on the story, one of the four wrestlers previously named is booked to wrestle on a slate of WWE live events throughout the month May. Sheamus O’Shaunessy has been under contract to World Wrestling Entertainment for two years, but still has yet perform in front of a live WWE crowd. However, he will finally be getting his chance as company officials have booked him to appear on their shows next month. With his Irish roots, an obvious pairing or possible feud would be with fellow Irishman Finlay on the ECW brand. Hulk Hogan Legal Issues | Santino Marella | More!

A judge in Pinellas County, Florida has denied Hulk Hogan’s request for Linda Hogan’s 19-year-old boyfriend Charlie Hill to be prohibited from driving Hogan-owned cars. Hulk argued that his assets would be at risk if accident-prone Hill got into an accident while behind the wheel of one of Hulk’s cars. While the judge did state that “it would appear to be exceedingly imprudent” to keep Charlie from behind the wheel, the request was still denied. Hulk Hogan’s attorney told TMZ.com, “This issue certainly isn’t over… clearly from [the judge's] statement from this hearing that in principal he agrees with our position but legally does not feel he is able to grant an injunction.” To view the legal documents, visit TMZ.com.

This past Monday, Beth Phoenix and Kofi Kingston joined Connecticut Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz to encourage students at Bridgeport Central High School to register to vote. The WWE website has photos and video from their appearance.

According to WWE.com, three matches are set to take place on tonight’s episode of WWE Superstars on WGN America including Evan Bourne vs. Paul Burchill, Carlito vs. Ted DiBiase, and Gail Kim & Maria vs. Michelle McCool & Alicia Fox in an all-SmackDown Divas Tag Team Match. Due to her pairing with McCool, Fox is apparently a heel now even though she never officially turned. It should be noted that she drastically changed her hair for her initial outing as a member of SmackDown. Fox was drafted to SmackDown in the Supplemental Draft two weeks ago. The updated female SmackDown wrestler depth chart is as follows. Babyfaces: Melina, Gail Kim, Maria, Candice Michelle, Eve Heels: Michelle McCool, Alicia Fox, Layla

In the latest episode of Santino’s Casa over at WWE.com, Santino and “girlfriend” Beth Phoenix visited a relationship counselor. During the episode, Beth reveals that Santino wets the bed when he drinks too much “Yoo-hoo” chocolate milk.
