Thought I would give you all a list of some cool wrestling moves I have come along and seen, I will also try and include some videos to help with working out what they are. I hope you like this post on wrestling moves and best of luck with them all!
Ankle Lock
Made famous by Kurt Angle, basically a quick rip and turn of the ankle; designed to break the ankle!

Bulldog
We’ve seen quite a few people do this, including John Cena, Tommy Dreamer, Brian Kendrick. A move where one wrestler grabs the head of another and drives it into the mat while leaping into the air.

Chokeslam
Most common wrestlers to have used this were the Brother’s Of Destruction, Kane and The Undertaker. This involves one wrestler grabbing another by the throat, he then lifts him into the air and slams him back down. Thus the chokeslam is created, simply due to how the move works!

Frog Splash
Used by the Guerrero’s and Rob Van Dam, a very effective move where one wrestler jumps off the top rope and does a frog type leap into the air, just before landing on their opponent.

Pedigree
Made famous by Triple H mainly, a very effective mover where the wrestler grabs the opponent, puts him between his own legs and yorks him up and straight back down onto the mat. Similar to the powerbomb, however the wrestler is not lifted fully off the ground.

Powerbomb
Used in the early days of JBL’s career and now seen in Batista’s career as his finisher, this move is one of the most effective in the WWE. Place the opposition wrestler’s head between your knees, york him up and straight back down to the mat! This can cause major damage to the back or spinal cord however.

Superkick
Used by Shawn Michaels as a finisher and a few others as a go about move, very effective. A simply kick to the base of the jaw, can break the jaw or knock the opposition wrestler’s lights out!

Shooting Star Press
Probably my favourite move, it was at one stage banned because it inflicted too much damage on the wrestler getting hit with it. Billy Kidman was one of the best to use it in my opinion, now seen being used by Evan Bourne. Involves the wrestler jumping of the top rope backwards, similar to a moonsalt but on the landing the knees are driven into the ribs.
