Khali – RVD – Santino – Cryme Tyme AND MORE!!

Sources say that the sudden return of Cryme Tyme was due to a directive telling WWE a few months ago they need more African-American wrestlers on there shows. On a side note Elijah

The Great Khali has been noted down to have made plans to open a wrestling school for children in India. This would explain why Khali was heading home to India for the first time in two years, he will be staying there for one month at the very least.

Some sad news for wrestling fans and RVD, his wife Sonya was diagnosed with Colon Cancer according to a post he made on his myspace. Sonya ad RVD have both tried to make it clear to people that anyone could get this, Sonya being a healthy 32 year old, lean and active the two found it a unexpected surprise. Sonya has surgery scheduled for this week to get it removed, I wish her all the best.

Indy wrestler Ken Theissen is in the lead to be Santino Marella’s new bodyguard, he has done work in the WWE so he is no stranger to this, Al Barone is the other possible option for Santino.  On a side note, Maria made the world’s 100 most sexiest women at number 84, Stacy Keibler also made the cut at an impressive 64.

The Great Khali has lately been facing knee problems, he may have to undergo knee surgery which will put him out for three months. Khali is however as I mentioned before going to India for a month so he may not have to go through the surgery.

Wrestlemania 24 (XXIV) DVD sales have come to 1.1million 700,000 have been from North America, this has put Wrestlemania 24 as the second most popular PPV in history. WWE is also now on the hunt for more African-American wrestlers, after losing Marcos Cor Von, Boogeyman, Booker T and Bobby Lashley WWE now needs to find more.

John Morrison defeated Shannon Moore

Nattie Neidhart defeated Cherry

Matt Hardy decides to come out for an interview with Michael Cole, he tells him his knee is at 100% and he is ready to go against MVP at Backlash this Sunday. MVP comes out, Hardy says MVP cheated, MVP says Hardy is just jealous of him. As Hardy says he is certain he will take the title at Backlash, MVP hits him with the United States Title and leaves him.

WWE ECW Results – 22nd April

Tommy Dreamer and Kelly Kelly defeated Layla & Mike Knox

Jimmy Wang Yang defeated John Morrison

Kofi Kingston defeated Shelton Benjamin – This was personally my favourite match, check the video of it below!

Mark Henry defeated Nunzio

On the cutting Edge, Edge and Kane opened the show. Edge first speaks about how well known and respected both Kane and the Undertaker are, then moves onto the Lita situation of a few years ago. Edge talks about how both the World Heavy Weight title and ECW title’s are property of his family and were robbed from both him and Chavo at Backlash. Kane makes clear to Edge that Vickie will be the only one left and he will take good care of her. This draws Chavo, Hawkins, Ryder and Bam Neely out, they all attack Kane and grab him. Chavo brings out a chair and hits Kane’s legs a few times. Kane after some time fights back and tells the five that he and Undertaker will take good care of Vickie.

WWE RAW Results – 21st April

RAW’s Show was from Greenville, North Carolina.

The king of the ring event got under way, Chris Jericho defeated MVP in his first round match. CM Punk defeated Matt Hardy in what was a pretty good match, Hardy went for the twist of fate Punk reversed it into a GTS and got the pin.

Finlay defeated Great Khali via DQ – Khali was disqualified after ignoring referee, Charles Robinson’s count and continuing to hit Finlay. Big Show walks out and stares Khali down, Khali once again walks away but you can sense the tension brewing between the two. Meanwhile, Finlay is carried backstage.

William Regal defeated Hornswaggle – Although the result was expecting Regal acted a little cowardly sneaking up behind Hornswaggle as he is helping Finlay out of the ring. Regal tries out a new move on Hornswaggle, (the Regal stretch) and he taps out all most immediately.

Shawn comes out and calls Batista down to the ring. He tells big Dave to answer the question Jericho asked him last week on Smackdown, “Did you want to be the man to end Ric Flairs career”, Dave answers saying that it wasn’t about Flair, it was about him and Shawn. Dave respects Shawn’s career but not the path he got there, he doesn’t want to talk any more so he ends saying he will finish everything at Backlash. The two shake hands as Shawn is about to leave, Shawn fakes a superkick which Dave doesn’t move from, Dave walks out bumping Shawn out of the way.

Carlito defeated Hardcore Holly – After the match Cody Rhodes asks Santino if he ever shuts up, he said if he doesn’t shut-up he’ll hit him with the mic. Santino keeps talking and gets hit in the head with a microphone, Holly kicks Carlito out of the ring.

CM Punk defeated Chris Jericho – Probably my favourite match of the night until CM Punk got the GTS in position and hit it giving him the win.

William Regal defeated Finaly

Hillary Clinton Vs Barrack Obama – I found this quite funny. Hillary came out with Bill, (fake of course), with Hulk Hogan’s theme music. Obama came out with the Rock’s theme music and some extremely large novelty ears, quite hilarious. Anyway, Umaga came in and for once was cheered for ending the match. Bill ran off as Obama got the Samoan Spike and Hillary got a Samoan Drop.

William Regal defeated CM Punk – A pretty boring match, Regal was crowned the King of the Ring, pretty disappointing result in my opinion.

Randy Orton, Chavo, JBL and Edge defeated John Cena, Triple H, Undertaker and Kane – Edge ran in and speared Kane for the pin and the match was over. John Cena cleared the ring and Triple H was in there with him. The two began striking blows at each other, Cena eventually got Triple H up for the FU, Randy Orton came from behind and RKO’d Cena. JBL and Randy Orton start arguing in the ring, Undertaker gets in there and stereo chokeslams them.
