UFC 103 Live Stream

We hope you enjoyed our live stream, results will be posted soon!

UFC 103 Predictions
UFC 103 going on the usual standards doesn’t appear to be one of their best. There is no title fight, or a legends clash. Some upside to it though is there are five very good fights to watch on this card, there will also be some free fights followed after it. UFC 103 is well worth watching and below are my predictions.

Predictions:

Rich Franklin vs. Vitor Belfort
Franklin is a very underrated fighter, he deserves more respect as he is genuinely a really good fighter. With a record of 25-4, he’s done quite a good job considering who has had to face. However, I do believe Franklin won’t come out victorious. Belfort is very quick, has a lot of punching power and will dominate Franklin unless it goes to the ground – which I don’t see happening:
Vote: Belfort

Junior dos Santos vs. Mirko Cro Cop
The young one taking on the MMA legend who’s done it all. This would be the fight I am most looking forward too. Santos is the younger, however he is quite a bit bigger and stronger than Cro Cop; I think he should be down in the light heavyweights personally. Santos should hit some big punches and take Mirko to the ground where he will dominate.
Vote: Santos.

Martin Kampmann vs. Paul Daley
If only Mike Swick wouldn’t have pulled out, this may have been a really good fight between himself and Kampmann. Daley is an alright fighter on his feet, however Kampmann will win if it is a well rounder fight; he shouldn’t have any problems against Daley.
Vote: Kampmann

Josh Koscheck vs. Frank Trigg
Trigg, I like this guy – he’s smart but I’m not sure if that will get him over the line. Seeing as he is now 37, I think is time is just about up and I doubt he will go with Koscheck at this level. Koscheck should destroy Trigg in this one.
Vote: Koscheck

Tyson Griffin vs. Hermes Franca
This should be a fast paced, knockout brewing type match and it will be expected. This one really does need to light it all up and make the night something special. I think Griffin will have the advantage early, only to be edged out by Franca when it takes to the ground; should be a close fight.
Vote: Franca

Report: Backstage Update On Edge

Although WWE released photos of Edge undergoing surgery on Tuesday morning in Birmingham, AL with Dr. James Andrews, the company has yet to issue anything new regarding his recovery and how long he is expected out of the ring.

According to sources, people close to Adam “Edge” Copeland say his Achilles tendon surgery went well yesterday and he will be forced to stay off his foot for around 10 to 14 days. After that he will be allowed to start walking while wearing a rehabilitation boot and start rehab around that time.

The initial thought was that WWE wouldn’t acknowledge the injury until at least this coming weekend since Edge appears on Friday Night Smackdown this week and gets involved in the ring, but they decided against that. The next big question is where creative goes from here with Edge as a WWE Unified Tag Team Champion along with Chris Jericho and the two being scheduled for a title defense at Night of Champions between Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. WWE had long-term plans for Edge and Jericho as a tag team as they had worked on mixing both men’s entrance music and created a dual video for the team. The company was also working to come up with a team name with some ideas being Team Ego and Team Rated Y2J. There was also talk after that ended that early next year we’d see an Edge face turn leading into next years WrestleMania.

The immediate reaction to Edge’s injury within the company was trying to figure out a way to get the belts on Rhodes and DiBiase. Of course, they shot TV before the injury and had Ted DiBiase Sr. announce as the special guest host of Raw that no title matches would be taking place until the Night of Champions PPV on July 26. So it puts them in an interesting situation with TV the next two weeks heading into the PPV. It should be noted that Ted Dibiase Jr. is currently suffering from a shoulder injury at the moment, but the belief is that it isn’t too severe and he was kept out of the ring at a few shows overseas in Australia as a result. The plan at one point within WWE was to have Edge come to TV and hand his belt over to Dolph Ziggler to give Ziggler a rub and a big push teaming with Jericho. However, plans always change in WWE and there have been multiple ideas between now and the next set of TV tapings this Monday and Tuesday so the plan with Ziggler could be off the table. There was also said to be talk of keeping The Colons (Carlito and Primo) together and editing off Carlito’s attack on Primo from Raw this past Monday, but those plans changed since they ended up airing it as is.
